COTRANS – CALEDONIE TRANSIT has been a leader in transport management and customs brokerage in New Caledonia since 1971 and currently employs 25 people at the office based near the port of NOUMEA.
COTRANS operates a high-performance production facility adjacent to the port of Noumea:
- 600 m² of warehouse space
- 400 m² of customs bonded warehouse space
- 2500 m² of open-air storage to receive containers and carry out handling operations
The entire COTRANS team have the expertise necessary to perform their duties, and they attend training regularly to make sure they keep their high-level qualifications up to date. Administrative staff have post-secondary degrees and technical staff have the necessary qualifications (ADR, IMDG, OHS, CACES 1 to 5)
COTRANS – Caledonie Transit also boasts a Customs unit staffed by 10 employees exclusively dedicated to customs clearance procedures for imports and exports. This team of experts will step in upstream to handle the preliminary verification of acts (documents, invoices, exemptions, etc.) and later to complete customs clearance and follow-up.
